Who Can Apply?
- EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens living in the UK by 31 December 2020
- Family members of EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens
- Children born in the UK to EU citizens
- Close family members joining EU citizens in the UK
Settled vs Pre-Settled Status
Settled status is granted if you've lived in the UK for 5 continuous years. Pre-settled status is for those with less than 5 years of residence, allowing you to stay until you qualify for settled status.
